I’m preparing for my first elk this November in Arizona. These series of books have been very helpful with my planning. I’ve already used what I’ve learned from these books to find and track elk on my scouting trips.

I thought this book would have more detail or specific information that you might find in a series, ie 101,201,301…, but this was your basis level information. The chapters were sparse. You can get more information from Eastmans or F&S. Save your money.

Don’t bother. I read Elk Hunting 101 and it was a big disappointment. I did not read Elk Hunting 301, but based on 101 I won’t bother. There are many good books on elk hunting but I didn’t think 101 was one of them.
