you are the real deal my friend.. I dont quite hunt primitive(yet) i hunt treaditional. Wooden recurve bow and aluminum arrows.. and i have people all the time who are just shocked when i tell them i hunt bear with that.. they think that its not effective.. a well placed arrow is just as devastating as a well placed bullet.. keep on hunting brother!!

@BeckumOutdoors thanks for responding! now i need to find some flint or obsidian
May 13th, 2010 - 14:11
@chrissept21 When you sharpen it you lose about 1/16 of an inch of stone around the edge, so it depends on how wide your knife is an how often you sharpen it! It will last a very long time considering it only takes one hour to make a flint or obsidian knife. You should learn how to flint knap and then you can make whatever you like! Arrowheads, spear points or knifes! That knife will skin a deer as fast as a metal one! Metal knifes are great, but flint and obsidian knifes are very cool!
May 13th, 2010 - 14:59
@BeckumOutdoors did you make that your self, and tell me, how long will a knife like that last? with regular sharpening
May 13th, 2010 - 15:20
@chrissept21 Yes, they cut good!
May 13th, 2010 - 15:50
REALLY WANT A KNIFE LIKE THAT
May 13th, 2010 - 16:34
@KonstantinKuehn They are southeastern puckered mocs! Creek, Cherokee, Seminole, Choctaw, Chickasaw
May 13th, 2010 - 17:10
the moccasins in ur video look interesting.. u stitched them differently than most ive seen.. much simpler it looks like… if u dont mind i will attempt to copy this method!
May 13th, 2010 - 17:44
@BeckumOutdoors can u knapp without antler or bone or copper?..just with other stones?
May 13th, 2010 - 18:29

This was an awesome video, mostly because I thought these ways were lost in time. Often I when I hunt I have wondered how I could use the tools of are forefathers. Thank you!
