Ok, I'm 14 and will be starting to go hunting for the first time this year. What are the hunting seasons for animals, how much is it to get a license, what kind of gun do I need, what kind of licenses do I need, and tell me anything else I need to know. Also, I live in the piney woods of East Texas

in aus u have 2 be 12(no criminal records)2 shoot a gun and 18 2 but 1...start off with the lightest gun u can find...

these are things that whoever is taking you hunting should teach you. there are too many things to even bother typing, and it comes down to experience and local knowledge. outdoor first aid should be a high priority, as well as firearms handling safety training.

Go to the site that David t suggested and read. I live a couple of states north of you. Here, under 16 does not require any kind of license but requires a hunter safety certificate. Anyone is required to get deer or turkey tag if they hunt either species. I hope you are going hunting with your parent, grand parent, or someone else that can teach you about hunting and guns. P.S. What took you so long before you got interested in hunting?
