Is there anyway I will be able to make profit from hunting rabbits?
Question by Chomezburg: Is there anyway I will be able to make profit from hunting rabbits?
I'm 13, and with all the costs and everything involved in hunting I as wondering if there was anyway I could make profit from hunting rabbits, like selling leather products or their meat. Not that I hunt for money, it's just that with all the rabbits I'm going to hunt eventually, there's going to be a lot of meat left over.

No. Rabbit pelts won't bring 50 cents each. In every state I know of, it's illegal to sell game meat.
I have hunted rabbits my entire life and never killed more than 5 in one day. If you can do better than that, I want you to take me hunting!

Okie is right you cant really gain any money that way. I once shot 14 rabbits with my friend during one day at his lease. He recently told me he shot 40 in one day!

unless there’s a unlimited bag limit, you can’t sell the meat, and you need a fur marketer’s license to buy and sell furs for any animal, from bear to squirrels.
but if the rabbits are farmed instead of hunted, then there’s no limitations, but rabbit meat isn’t that profitable anyways, just hunt for your own and possibly friends and family, but don’t try to make money off it, nearly impossible.

yea, altough i have seen rabbit pelts for 5-10 buck on Ebay. and for the meat part, you would have to know somebody who likes rabbit, but if you are friends, it would be mean to charge him. so the pelts are the best option.http://cgi.ebay.com/RABBIT-SKIN-PELT-FUR-BLACK-PREMIUM-GRADE-A_W0QQitemZ260430254850QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ca2da5302&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
